Vice Verse All Stars

The urban hip-hop group Vice Verse All stars from New York arrives in Kinshasa on March 4. The group plans public concerts, lecture-demonstrations, media outreach and collaborations with local music groups. The Vice Verse All Stars crafts a timeless urban sound that conveys the passion of hip-hop music, featuring rapping, singing, and dancing. The group is traveling to West and  Central Africa from February 7 - March 9 to promote cross- cultural understanding and to advance cultural exchange. They visited Mauritania, Togo, Cote D'Ivoire, and Burkina Faso.

The group includes Chris Rel, born in Bronx, New York and raised in Spring Valley;Denny Jackson, a solo Rhythm and Blues artist who has performed in India, Malaysia, and Burma; Omni Blaze, a native New Yorker who is a skilled keyboardist, guitarist, bassist, singer, emcee, and producer; and DJ Prettynyce who currenty performs in several New York City Clubs.
