Assistant Secretary Schwartz Visits DRC
Assistant Secretary for Population, Refugees and Migration Eric Schwartz visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo October 13-17. In Kinshasa, A/S Schwartz met with DRC officials and members of the international community, including UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres, and held a press conference at the Public Diplomacy auditorium. He then traveled to Goma with the High Commissioner, and met with local officials, NGOs and UN representatives, as well as visited Internally Displaced Persons sites.
