Elections: US Citizen Speakers Series at the Congo American Language Institute

American Citizens from the Embassy and the American Community volunteered to speak to students at the Congo American Language Institute's English Club about the U.S. Electoral System and their share their experiences about it.

The activity increased Congolese interest in and understanding of the U.S. Elections, dispelling common misunderstandings about U.S. politics, processes and institutions. It also promoted Mission Strategic Goal of " helping core governance institutions perform their functions more effectively and accountably," by offering examples of how some of these institutions function in the U.S.
