On October 25, 2012, Public Affairs Officer Ellen Masi spoke to students at the Universite Libre de Kinshasa about the U.S. Electoral System. She also shared her experiences as a U.S. voter.

The activity increased Congolese interest in and understanding of the U.S. Elections, dispellingl common misunderstandings about U.S. politics, processes and institutions. It also helped promote the Mission Strategic Goal of " helping core governance institutions perform their functions more effectively and accountably" by giving the audience examples of how such institutions work in the U.S.
