Provisional Results of the Second Round of Presidential Elections

Provisional results of the second round of Presidential elections are expected within the coming days. Amcits in Kinshasa and elsewhere in the DRC are reminded to remain vigilant during this period. Amcits are reminded of information contained in the latest Travel Warning, dated October 20, 2006, in which the Embassy recommends traveling only as necessary and restricting nighttime travel.
In the event of public disorder, Amcits are reminded to remain at home and should be prepared to remain there for several days.
